LG has come out and said that initial issues with the Snapdragon 810 processor have been resolved and that the G Flex 2 and upcoming G4 won't be affected. A recent report stated that Samsung wouldn't be using the Snapdragon 810 processor in the Galaxy S6 due to overheating issues. This led many to be concerned about the LG G Flex 2, which had been announced to include the 64-bit, octa-core powerhouse.
LG quickly responded that there were no issues with the Snapdragon 810, and that it would continue to use the processor in the G Flex 2 and upcoming G4. Now, LG has come back to clear up the issue a bit, stating that while there were initial issues with the Snapdragon 810, likely involving overheating and throttling, those issues have since been resolved and pose no problem to the G Flex 2 or G4.
While we were initially worried about issues with the G Flex 2, it seems that our minds can rest at ease. Samsung fans, however, look to have more confirmation that the Snapdragon 810 won't be residing inside the Galaxy S6. Qualcomm reported yesterday that the Snapdragon 810 will not be used within a large customer's upcoming flagship, which lines up with the previous report that Samsung will instead opt for its own Exynos processor.
