Last week, NVIDIA began pushing Android 5.0 to the Wi-Fi-only version of the SHIELD tablet, promising that the LTE model would be updated to Lollipop "soon." Looks like NVIDIA wasn't kidding.
The 32GB LTE version of the NVIDIA SHIELD tablet is now receiving its update to Android 5.0. Included with the update is a refreshed, Material design-ified user interface, an updated version of the Dabbler drawing app and more games that are optimized for SHIELD.
NVIDIA has been one of the best manufacturers when it comes to pushing out Android updates in a speedy manner, and that trend continues today. The SHIELD tablet was already an intriguing device thanks to its high-end specs and clean version of Android, but it's become even more interesting now that we've seen NVIDIA quickly push big updates to it.
As a quick note, NVIDIA will be offering the 32GB LTE SHIELD tablet as part of a bundle deal on Black Friday, so that'd be a good opportunity to snag this Lollipop-powered slate if you don't already have one.
