Google+ experience updated for the web with new design and improved sharing options

Google+ for the web

Google has announced an update to Google+ for the web that brings a new design that has a few Material Design influences. The updated design includes a new hamburger-style slide-in drawer, bold styling in the form of a bright red bar at the top and a new composition window that is accessible from the red floating action button at the bottom.

The new design brings the web version in line with the app redesign, although there are a few noticeable differences, like the hamburger menu interface on the web. The Google+ app ditched the slide-in drawer for a secondary bar at the top of the screen, but that change has not been translated to the web version. Google also mentions that the update makes "everything faster, more beautiful, and more intuitive." Head to plus.google.com from your mobile or tablet to see the new changes in effect.
