MWC is still underway and the show floor will remain open to visitors up until March 2, but thankfully, announces are now finished, so we can all take a little rest from the bombardment of new devices and reevaluate the experience a little better. As for the news section, it was a crowd on MWC tags as well, although a few other scoops did manage to slip by. Up at the very top of the chart, we naturally find the phone unveilings you, our loyal readers, found most interesting at the Barcelona venue. They are listed in an order, representing their respective hits, so it appears the Xiaomi Mi5, with its amazing OIS and reasonable price tag, might have actually caused a bit more fuss that both the Galaxy S7 and the LG G5 and the same goes for the new Sony Xperia X series as well.
It also didn't take long for the first benchmark scores to start rolling in. You can check the preliminary Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 performance reports for yourself, but be weary, as the devices they come from are still not necessarily running finalized software.
In other news, the Vivo XPlay 5 is inching ever closer to a release and consequently the title of first ever smartphone with 6GB of RAM. And speaking of new devices, the OnePlus 3 promises some major design changes and should come sometime in Q2 this year. Last, but definitely not least, we can't fail to mention the sad news most Sony fans had to deal with this week, namely that the OEM is cancelling the signature Z line and appears to be replacing it with the new X series of handsets.
