National Housing Bank (NHB) invites application from qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Chairman Managing Director. Eligible Persons apply on or before 4th July 2014.
About: The NHB is a national level institution established with the objective of operating as the Principal agency to promote housing finance institutions. The Bank was set up in 1987 under an Act of Parliament and is a wholly owned by the Reserve Bank of India. The function of the NHB are aimed at (i) developing a well-structured and sound housing finance system through the promotion, establishment and support of housing institutions, (ii) creating an enabling environment in which housing finance institutions can raise resources, (iii) providing refinance facilities to the housing finance institutions, and (iv) to regulate the activities of housing finance institutions.

Educational Qualifications & Eligibility:
(1) Minimum 25 years of experience as on the date of advertisement at different levels in banks/FIs or other organisation in Financial/Banking sector with at least 2 years of combined experience of one or more at the following level:-
(a) Whole Time Director in financial Sector Organisations;
(b) CGM in NABARD/IDBI/SIDBI;
(c) GM of NHB/GM in Nationalised Banks; and
(d) equivalent positions in other Organisations.
(2) Proven management, leadership and innovative skills to build an inspired team
(3) Experience of institutional development in the financial, banking, services
sector or a Public Sector Undertaking.
(4) Experience in housing, urban and related sectors would be an added
qualification.
(5) Candidate should have a post graduate University Degree preferably in Economics, Commerce, Finance or Business Administration or a graduate degree, preferably in these subjects, with professional qualification of CA (Chartered Accountant), CS (Company Secretary), MBA (Master of Business Administration), ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent. (6) Officers serving as Joint Secretary or above in the Government of India or at an equivalent level in the State Government or a regulatory body having 5 years experience with 2 mandatory years experience at the level of Joint Secretary in the field of housing/urban development/ infrastructure shall be eligible to apply on deputation basis.

Educational Qualifications:
(1) Bachelor's Degree in HINDI from a recognized University with aggregate minimum of 60% marks (OR) Master's Degree in Hindi with aggregate minimum of 55% with ENGLISH as one of the main subject at degree level.
