Who doesn't love Girl Scout Cookies? Using a free app or Web site, you can hunt down the nearest sale and feed your addiction.

When it comes to Girl Scout Cookie season, I always begin to sweat, wondering how I am going to track down a box of those delicious Peanut Butter Patties. It never crossed my mind to try searching the App Store or the Girl Scouts Web site to find the nearest cookie sales until I found this post on Brokelyn.com.
As it turns out, the Girls Scout Web site does offer a method for searching the cookie sales schedule in your zip code. There are even links to an iOS and Android app to help you fill your cabinets, but neither link was working for me.
Instead of using the Girl Scouts Web site, download the Girl Scout Cookie Locator app on your iPhone. It makes the process for finding cookies too easy. Enter your zip code or the let app find your location, and a list of current and upcoming sales will magically fill the screen. You can ask to receive alerts when a new Girl Scout Cookie booth will be in the area.
The app itself looks pretty bad. It hasn't been updated since 2012, and it isn't formatted for the larger screen of newer iPhones or iOS 7. But who has time to be picky about how the app looks when there are cookies to find? Not me.
Android users can use the mobile version of the app's Web site by visiting this link. If the mobile version doesn't display automatically, there's a link at the bottom to activate it. And instead of receiving push alerts of new sales, you can sign up for e-mail alerts for your area.
Put the internet to work for you.
