At Moblie World Congress 2015, Haier is debuting three new smartphones, all running Android and all priced with budget shoppers in mind.
Haier is a Chinese brand that has historically made appliances, including TVs, refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines. The company is expanding its smartphone collection with its new Voyage line: the G30, I70 and V5.
The three phones feature colorful designs, middle of the road specs and Android 4.4 KitKat.

The least expensive of the bunch, the G30 will cost around 79 euros when it goes on sale in Europe in May. International availability has not been announced, but converted, that's around $90, £60 or AU$115. It's sporting a 4.5-inch IPS display and comes in five colors: navy, white, black, red and yellow. It has sharp corners and a soft-touch finish on the colorful back cover.
Inside, the G30 has a battery that Haier boasts last more than 11 days on standby, but doesn't specify its capacity. There's no word on what the G30 has in the way of processor, RAM or internal storage, but for a budget phone, I'm not expecting high-end specs.
We do know that the phone has a 5-megapixel main camera and that it's running Android 4.4 KitKat. The phone is also running a custom UI on top of Android, called Haier E+. It's also a dual-SIM model, so it can run on two different cell phone networks at the same time.

Voyage I70
The next most expensive device in the Voyage line, the I70 is slim, at just 7.9mm (0.31 inches). It has a 5-inch HD display, but there aren't any details on the screen resolution, though Haier says it has a 178-degree viewing angle.
The I70 comes in black, navy, pink and white, with a metal body and glass back plate, similar to the iPhone 4S. Inside, the phone has a 1.5GHz octa-core processor and an infrared sensor for controlling appliances, like a TV, with your phone. The I70 is equipped with DTS sound for enhanced audio. Like the G30, it's running Android 4.4 KitKat with Haier's E+ interface.
For photos and video, there's a 13-megapixel camera with dual flash and sensors that promise great shots at night.
The Voyage I70 goes on sale in Europe in May for 179 euros. Again, international availability has not been announced, but converted that's roughly $200, £130 or AU$255.

Last and most expensive of the bunch, the V5 has the best specs. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen with support for gesture control -- Haier says the display is sensitive enough that it can be used while wearing gloves. The V5 has a slightly more polished, more understated design, with finishes in black, white or gold.
There's a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core processor powering the phone, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat and the Haier E+ UI. This is also the only Voyage phone to support LTE-FDD, so it can get 4G speeds for browsing the Web and downloading apps.
The V5 has a 13-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX 214 sensor, which promises high-quality photos.
The V5 will go on sale in the second quarter of 2015 in select European markets and will cost 349 euros. Haier hasn't said in which countries it will go on sale, but converted that price is around $390, £255 or AU$500.
