Sleeping Dogs & Lara Croft: Guardian of Light will be available to download for the GOLD members of the XBOX 360 starting from 1st of January of the brand new year 2014. Sleeping dogs can be downloaded from 1st Jan 2014 to 15 Jan 2014 and Gold Members of Xbox 360 can keep the game forever with them and Lara Croft: Guardian of Light from 16th Jan 2014 to 31th Jan 2014.
Sleeping Dogs was released in August 2012, this is the newest games to be given away through Games With Gold. Sleeping Dogs, typically a $19.99 download, will be free from Jan. 1-15. Originally announced as the next installment in the True Crime series, Sleeping Dogs drops players into Hong Kong as part of an undercover operation.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, usually $14.99, will be available Jan. 16-31. The game was originally released in 2010 and features a two-player co-op mode.
Typically, the games given away for free are older retail games like Gears of War and Halo 3 and Xbox Live Arcade games like Defense Grid and Iron Brigade but Microsoft decided to upgrade and have gifted the members of Xbox Live Gold Membership with 2 new games which are latest ones in comparison to the games that were provided earlier.
Both games will be available to those with an Xbox Live Gold membership as part of the Games with Gold program.
The free games offered through Games With Gold are currently only Xbox 360 titles, although Microsoft has announced it will bring the program to Xbox One as well. Microsoft's Games with Gold deal was announced during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference; it gifts Xbox Live Gold members with two free games per month. The promotion is expected to launch for Xbox One in 2014.Details on that, however, are not coming until "later in 2014," so it doesn't come as a surprise that January's reveal lacks any titles for Microsoft's newest console.
