The year 2013 has been a massive for Steam. This year a lot of users joined Steam and the figures are simply great. Around 7.6 millions users have joined steam from different corners of the world and the count continues. This is a definitely a great achievement for the Valve Corporation.
Steam stats page clearly shows the exact count that is 7.71 Million till now. Many great titles were launched this year which helped steam to touch this mark. Titles such as DOTA 2 and Left for Dead 2 contributed greatly to the high user count today, pulling in 600,000 and 111,000 users, respectively. Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2 also had an exceptional number of players today.
The Steam Sale or the steam holiday package also allowed users to signup with steam and earn some benefits. The steam holiday sale is still on and will continue till 3rd January 2014. In case you have missed it there is still some time left to join Steam and get some good benefits.
